What are our ethical obligations to the Earth? Where does morality come from? When are we actually dead? The greatest challenges facing society today demand answers to ethical questions. The Emory Center for Ethics (CFE) is resolute about elevating moral discourse, passionate about promoting ethical engagement, and dedicated to guiding students to explore how ethical issues underlie the decisions that shape our minds, lives, and society.
The CFE is central to Emory University’s mission- to create, preserve, teach, and apply knowledge in the service of humanity. Our commitment to transforming the next generation of leaders is achievable through the efforts of our staff and more than 50 faculty members who engage in cutting-edge research, scholarship and teaching across all nine Emory schools. We support faculty as they continue to create innovative programming and curricula, empower students to take leadership roles, and establish deep connections to peer universities, professionals, corporations, organizations and the community.
Your support makes it possible for us to transform the lives of current and future generations who will challenge moral assumptions and ingrain ethical concepts in their lives and the lives of others.
